Purple Iris continues north in Sweden

The Purple Iris, Apatura iris, continues its northward expansion in Sweden like it has been doing the last 5-10 years. It has now been spotted as far north as the province Uppland, which is north of Stockholm. I took the opportunity to make an animation with all observations from the Swedish Butterfly Monitoring Scheme and the Swedish Species Portal (data collected via the Analysis Portal). The animation covers all reported observations from 2000 to July 2017.
